Way to speed up Mass Storage transfer rate?

Hey guys...was wondering if anyone knew how to speed up the transfer rate when connected as mass storage. It's a decent amt slower than my sd card reader and i'm sure there's a way.

Bid Diesel found a cab that's supposed to speed up the storage card. Here it is:

The Diamond doesn't have a storage card. That cab speeds up the reading of a card by the PPC Phone. The OP's talking about speeding up the reading of the Diamond by the PC.

Hell, thanks for the help though, because I was wondering the same thing the OP was, lol

ohhh..yeah, you're right. i misunderstood the fix. yeah, i'm talking about speeding up the transferring of data from pc to internal storage and vice versa when sync'd in disk mode. my apologies, should've been clearer.

Re: Way to speed up Mass Storage transfer rate?

No, it was my fault, I thought this was in the Touch Pro forum.

Okay then, try this. GO to the registry with any regedit app, and go to:

HKLM/System/GDI/GLYPHCACHE

and increase the limit value up to around 16000 (I think the default is 8192; I think the Diamond's .may be higher though). This reg tweak makes your phone faster overall. Maybe it'll make the transfer faster as well

Oh yeah, I warn you: the more you increase this number, the more memory you consume. Mine is set to around 130172.

Hope this helps.

Re: Way to speed up Mass Storage transfer rate?

that just essentially speeds up the graphics related stuff on the phone (portrait to landscape and vice versa). ok...this is my mission now. *goes registry fishing*
