Several Questions

1. Long Press End Key - is this buggy for anyone? Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. I generally find myself holding the end key 3 times for about 7 seconds each before it kicks into effect. I have it set to disconnect the data radio to try and save battery. I heard someone else mention an app that lets you force the data radio to disconnect 1 minute after all your apps using it close? What's that called?

2. Is there any way to force Opera Mobile to stop loading the current page and load whatever link you're trying to click? I know it registers the fact that I am clicking a link since the box appears around it but nothing happens until the current page finishes loading or I force it to stop with the stop button by the URL bar (not a very efficient solution). It makes Opera appear a little more unresponsive than it needs to be.

3. Are they any apps that duplicate the functionality of WinMo's text message application? The basic text messaging app is slow and ugly and adds a few extra seconds of delay sometimes when I hit "Reply" from the new text message notification popup. I'd even be happy sacrificing threaded SMS chat functionality if I could get quicker access to a textbox and keyboard for entering my reply.

Thanks in advance for your help guys.

Re: Several Questions

1- Watch where and how you are touching the end key. It is capacitive, so it senses where the skin is touching to figure out what youre trying to do. If you hit it with your fingernail for example, it wont work well.

Some phone skins cover the edge of the hard keys and can screw up your presses also. If you have one of these on your phone take it off and see if you have better results.

Re: Several Questions

I've been pressing with my thumb or pointer finger. I have no protector skin on it or anything and I can feel the click of the button and everything when I press it... it just doesn't respond everytime. Sometimes its on the first press, sometimes its on the third. Has anyone else experienced this issue?
