Re: edvo only?
If you want 1xRTT only, it is easy, just disable EVDO (MDR) in ##pst#.
If you want EVDO only, the only way is to switch to the other NAM. Phone, device info, services, change NAM. However voice call won't work. |

Re: evdo only?
another way is to enable the mode of operation option through a registry edit.. i just got this from a quick search, but if its not right its pretty close to something like this: "HKLM/software/OEM/phonesetting and change hidden mode operation page to 0"

Re: evdo only?
with evdo only, you won't receive texts... so yeah. i keep it on 1x to keep it from switching back and forth until i'm using the internet.

Re: evdo only?
Doesn't the same apply to Voice as well? From what I've always understood, voice travels on 1x, which is why your phone goes from EV to 1x everytime you make or recieve a call. Try it.
I could be wrong though.

Re: evdo only?
no, you can make calls when evdo only is set, because that only sets the data... at least when you do it from the windows mobile screen. i've never disabled it from the ##.

Re: evdo only?
Change this key in your registry from a value of "1" to "0"
it will look like this [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting] "HiddenModeOperationPage"=dword:00000000 then do a soft reset. Once you reboot you will have an option under Phone > Options > Services "Mode Of Operation" 1) Hybrid 2) EVDO Only 3) 1X Only choose one and click ok.
