Phone dialer loads when screen rotates?

For some reason when my screen rotates whether it be from the g-sensor in Opera or by holding down the call button the phone dialer loads a few seconds later and kicks me out of what I'm doing. This just started happening recently and is even surviving soft resets. I'd really prefer to avoid a hard reset so does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Try Flipit or changescreen or gyrator2 to allow the accelerometer to do the rotation. Then just configure it how you want it.

I am having this problem whether I use the hard button or the accelerometer.

Hmm... have never seen this. Is it only happening with rotation in Opera or just everywhere? Can you tell us what rom and software configuration you have going?

Re: Phone dialer loads when screen rotates?

I've had the same thing happen to me recently. Haven't been able to pin down what it is? Seemed to happen more often when Opera was launched from a link in RSS hub and when I go to landscape the screen jumps to the dialer etc.

Just for reference I am running Mighty's 4.x ROMS when this started happening to me.

Re: Phone dialer loads when screen rotates?

I had it happen to me as well when I was on the Sprint leaked rom. I think that is what Mighty has his new one based off of so that may have something to do with it. I went back to his 3.9 and have been fine since.

Re: Phone dialer loads when screen rotates?

I'm on OMJ's 1.09 ROM. I soft reset last night and it's temporarily stopped but it's come back before after soft resets. I notice it most on Opera because I use the auto rotation for that but if I rotate even the home screen with the long press send key it'll load the dialer. So strange.

Re: Phone dialer loads when screen rotates?

I think I may just reflash OMJ's 2.00 ROM and see if that fixes it. Now I just have to learn how to use Sashimi to back everything up!

Re: Phone dialer loads when screen rotates?

So I'm on OMJ's 2.00 ROM and I'm still getting this issue. Is there any CAB install known to cause issues like this? I have a few CABs installed so I'm wondering if maybe something is conflicting? It doesn't happen right when I reboot but after a day or so whenever I rotate my screen in any program (using Gyrator2 now) it kicks me out and loads the phone dialer then my call history list? So weird but VERY frustrating!
