Disabling ZOOM in Outlook

So I've searched high and low on PPC Geeks and on XDA and I can't seem to find what I'm looking for.

I want to DISABLE the zoom feature with the Smart TOuch Scroll Wheel in Opera Mini and Outlook Express. It's really annoying. I've also tried looking through Registry files but I can't find anything.....

Anybody have some luck with this???

What ROM?

Try these settings:
HKLM\Software\HTC\SmartTouch\

- Have tried that Registry string. It won't let me change or delete Opera or Outlook. So that's why I posted to see if I'm doing anything wrong or if there;s a trick to it.

Re: Disabling ZOOM in Outlook

How many such stupid "smart" stuff HTC has stupidly put into this beautiful piece of hardware? TouchFlo3D, Touch Cube, Biotouch, Gsensor, Light sensor, SmartTouch... I truly believe such craps are what kill the battery and make this 533MHz/256MB powerhorse slow like hell. If they could not tweak these features very well like the iPhone, they'd better just give up and don't let them annoy us.

Here is how I disable this crap:

Create two empty files and name them as SmartTouch.dll and SmartTouchLib.dll. Then copy them to \Windows folder to replace the original files in ROM.

I used the same trick to disable other craps: AlbumSearch, AudioManager, Biotouch, htc_cm_guardian, OMC, OperaPrel, QuickGps, SensorLock, Biotouch...

I also disabled the gsensor dll in registry to get rid of the auto rotation universally.

It is amazing how HTC spent so much money and human resource to make so many junk just to make users not happy.
