turn off stylus sensor

is there any reg hack to disable the stylus sensor so it doesnt turn on my screen when i take the stylus out or put it back in?

I have figured out that the reason my phone keeps turning on randomly in my pocket and when its moved is because the stylus sensor is off, it works normal when my stylus is not in at all.

I have also heard you can find the actual switch and block it but i don't see it anywhere on my sprint diamond.

I don't know of a regedit, but I am curious. If you're taking the stylus out to actually use it. Wouldn't you want the screen to come on?

well that parts ok, but it turns on when you put it in also. But thats not exactly the issue.

somethings been off with the sensor, if i leave the stylus in and press some screen buttons or move the phone around a bit it will turn the screen back on. If the stylus is out it won't do that.

I messed with the sensor yesterday and i think i might have broke it, the problem seems to have disappeared for the moment.

The polling to this sensor may be one of those craps that kill standby battery life. I'll look into this and try to find a way to disable it.

u can always flash it, using one of OMJs roms, and if you haven't already done that, I highly suggest that you do.

Curious? What would flashing a ROM have to do with fixing the stylus sensor?
