2 problems.

1.) the phone keypad is my favorite way of texting yet i cant text with is because the key pad wont enter the letters. it just automatically enters the numbers.

2.) My ppc takes for ever to get text messages. (up to an hour) unless i call someone. for example if i call my voice mail, all the texts will come through. (but that's annoying calling your voicemail to check your texts every 10 mins..)

1) do you have "lock" enabled on the number pad of the keypad?

2) hit ##778# and change your slot cycle to "1". you need your msl for that.

okay, sorry it took so long to reply lol. internet kinda went out on me... amyways, i did have lock on on the keypad, turnied it off still have the numbers only problem. as for the slot cycle, i just changed it to 1, trying it out now.

Okay the text messages now come though smooth. thanks. but im still having a problem with the keypad

You haven't said...have you tried soft resetting to fix your keyboard? For something like that, a hard reset may be in order.

yeah, my recommendation would be to soft reset. make sure that lock is disabled. just play around with it, it will fix itself most likely. that's not a common issue.
