e-mail counter won't go away.

Hello, I've deleted every single e-mail in the inbox, outbox, drafts, sent items, etc.... I also deleted all my picture mails and the counter still says 2. I have no idea where else to look? Is there a way to reset the counter? I also reset the device and that didn't help. Thanks.

Are you running a custom rom; and if so which one

Nope, no custom rom.

what email providers do you use? I use Hotmail and I had to go into start\ programs\ windows live and sign out. I did this after I switched to seven because the counter would never go to 0. give it a min after doing that you should not have to do a soft reset.
there is a way to 0 it in registy but it always came back.

I have my own mail server and the phone's always only shown what is in my inbox.
