I wanna cry in anger knowing the mugen ver. meant for Sprint has a Red back much like the standard.

You can always dye it black

. I might do that to mine if I need a bigger battery (waiting for a week or two to see how the stock battery calibrates).

Am I the only one that noticed the bigger back plate acts as a speaker box and sound seems much better than before?

I noticed that to. I know $ 89.00 is a lot of cash, but I play with mine so much when I'm tagging along with the wife I don't have to worry about the battery drain, It last 2 day minimum and that's with using it a lot. Very Happy with it.
