Re: Windows 7 and HTC Diamond
I finally got Win7 installed via bootcamp on my Macbook. It's running flawlessly. Plugged my Diamond in, it was instantly recognized and downloaded the needed drivers. Wifi worked with out tinkering. Even tethering just worked. Im very impressed. Also somewhat amused as this iteration has a very Apple type of look/feel to it.
Edit: Those of you having problems flashing should try just flashing from internal storage, its 100% easier, and you can keep many ROMs for a quick change on the go. Just make sure you have like 75% battery. Last edited by Negrito; 06-12-2009 at 11:21 PM. |

Re: Windows 7 and HTC Diamond
Installed Windows 7 RC finally tonight....no problems at all so far. I went into the bootloader screen then connected USB because the ROM I'm using is having some USB/sync issues...Win7RC installed drivers auto and even launched WMDC(sans install) once I was booted into the new ROM...Loving this OS so far...

Re: Windows 7 and HTC Diamond
I have been using windows 7 since the release of the beta 7000 series, I am currently using the Win7 RC1. And for all of these problems to be fixed, all you have to do is, setup a basic sync with WMDC, and start doing the normal flash procedure. If you have not done this, the OS is missing some drivers, you can either do a carrier ROM update or flash the device, once you do that, you'll notice that the Win7 info center is downloading a driver, this driver is for the RDNIS, once the driver for the RDNIS is downloaded, you shouldn't have any issues! Thats what I did, and it works flawlessly!
