Removing the junk on my Touch Diamond??

I noticed over in the Touch Pro forum that someone created a cab to remove all the Sprint and other amps from the Touch Pro. Is there something similar for the Touch Diamond? Any performance or space I can squeeze out of this phone would be great.

Use a custom rom. There are many of them available in the Diamond Upgrade section.

Can you recommend one? I looked through a lot of them but there are so many isn't kind of dizzying....

juicy roms are great but i think he stopped developing for a little while. Buit i just tried the mighty rom 4.1 and its actually quite nice! Try that one out.

flashing is best, you can also stop customization to remove bloatware.

Just installed Mighty 4.1!

How's battery life between the Juicy and Might? I've been using Mighty, I just wonder if the Juicy offers even better battery life.

i have used juicy's rom and it is a good one but i have been using mighty's 3.9 and so far it has a much better battery life. i can use my diamond all day moderately and still have half my battery when i go to sleep. i have also noticed that the battery does not get hot in mighty's rom.

Thank pirish, that's good to know. I'm also running mighty 3.9, 4.x simply do not work on my Diamond (on VZW).

Here is what I did to remove even more junk in mighty 3.9:

Create empty files and name them as StartUPBioTouch.exe, OperaPreL.exe, quickgps.exe and copy them to \windows. These will prevent them from auto starting. You can still use quickgps when you need by duplicating it and renaming it as quickgpsmy.exe. I also disablde the gsensor to prevent auto rotation and I use RotateScreen to rotate screen when I need.
