"Not enough temporary disk space"

Sup fellas....

I am trying this last fm pocket scrobbler out for the diamond. I read somewhere after using it with no problems for about a week that it was not supported on the diamond (nothing seems to be for some f'd up reason...maybe because it is so "breakthrough"). Well enough jesting...

As i said before, I used it before with absolutely no problems for a week, a good 8 hours per day while at work, and this ****er suddenly decides to stop working... I get an error stating that it needs 10 mbytes of temporary disk space to run...

so i go through and kill ALL other programs running (that i can see), and i know there is no way don't have enough temporary disk space (nothing else is running in the RAM... that i know of). Well I ended up reinstalling it...4 times...sometimes it works for a few minutes and stops...then other times it doesnt work at all..

Any advice to freeing up more temporary disk space? Am i doing something wrong? Thanks fellas...i hate to keep asking questions but i cant find the answer to this on goog.

Use a clean up utility, and clean out your temporary files. The error is in reference to your temporary disk space (storage memory), and not your program memory.

I don't know if you are on the stock sprint ROM but if you are I would consider flashing to a custom ROM. I know the stock ROM has a pathetic 40mb free of storage space out of the box (after I installed all my programs I had something like 10mb left). I know Juicy's ROMs have around 90-95mb of storage space. Also when you install any program you want to install it to your "internal storage" and not your "device". Also I don't know if you do a lot of web browsing but you may want to clear out your cache. you can try clearing it out from opera hit the menu button>settings>Privacy>Delete Cache or using your file explorer go to Windows>Opera9>cache and delete all the files. Once you have it cleared I would redirect the cache to your internal storage. Open up opera and clear out the address bar. type in opera:config and scroll down to where it says "User Prefs" click on it and scroll down to where it says "Cache Directory4" clear it out and type in "\Internal Storage\temp\OperaCache" then scroll down to the bottom and hit "save" then close out opera. now your cache shouldn't be taking up storage space on your device. hope this helps

change where opera cache is stored. use opera:config typed into your opera browser and goto user pref. also delete the user guide folder in windiws. or flash, lol memmaid also. http://www.dinarsoft.com/memmaid/

well I am going to go ahead an look into resetting my rom. I am sure the forums have something that will help me do this. At least i have a couple days off...cause that's how long it will probably take...lol.

With that said, is there any website or program i coudl put on my computer so i can keep my contact list?

thanks fellas... i am now using juicy's and despite my father's urging me not to use a new rom... I am thrilled that i did it. My phone is running like a damn gem. NOW it is a diamond...

and i still have my contacts!
