Not receiving short messages from websites

I apparently am not receiving messages from websites that require a SMS to be sent to "verify the phone". IE, Zedge, SPB OTA downloads, GoogleMaps, Mapquest, etc.. (anyplace that asks if you want to "send this information to your phone via text message")
I AM however, receiving Facebook updates and Pinger notifications which were set up and verified on my previous phone.

Help, advice? I stopped in chat today and BAF told me that his phone was doing this and one day just 'started receiving' the messages.. I'm sure there are other explanations?

I'm on Sprint, STOCK ROM, and I have called Tier 3 tech support and they've "reset" my text messaging and data..

Help?

Thx,
ihbsbA

Tried after a hard reset? If not... Do you have a program installed that might be blocking those type of messages? I think phonealarm does this, and so do other profile managers

Hey ihbsbA, my name is BJ DeHut and I am a representative for Sprint. I am sorry to hear about your texting troubles. If the issue is still not resolved please email me a brief summary of this post at BJD@sprint.com and I will forward it onto a colleague who should be better suited to help you.
