Re: Screen turns on when switching from "1x" to "Ev" networks...
try a locking program like s2u2. it might not fix the waking up, but you won't have any accidents and it'll turn the screen back off after a set number of seconds

Re: Screen turns on when switching from "1x" to "Ev" networks...
I've thought about that, but that is just one more step to answering the call/getting to a program that would get quite annoying for me. I don't have an issue with the button accidentally getting pressed like some who wanted the s2u2. It would be nice to just nip this prob in the butt and be done with it.

Re: Screen turns on when switching from "1x" to "Ev" networks...
I use S2U2, and it integrates perfectly with receiving a phone call...I slide to the left to answer, to the right to ignore, with no accidental calling or program launching happening, ever.

This is a known issue with the Touch, Diamond, and Pro. No one has found a way to prevent it from happening

Re: Screen turns on when switching from "1x" to "Ev" networks...
I confirm I always had this problem with wm phones, and it also wakes up when it switches between your network and roaming. There's no fix for it, it's yet another windows mobile issue.
My problem used to be that when my old sprint 6700 woke up in my pocket sometimes the phone button would be pressed and I would make butt calls to random people. That does not happen with the diamond because the button only works when pressed by your finger, not by other stuff (test it with a pen), so it really isn't a problem, just set for the phone to sleep after a minute, and ignore it when it wakes up. No screenlock necessary, at least for me. |

yup, mine does the same thing. s2u2 crashes my picmail.. even with just that and picmail installed after a hard reset... its annoying. my phone called the police last week. that was entertaining.

Thanks for the responses, and I guess it is something I will have to just deal with. I did install s2u2 and am still deciding if I like it or not. Ah well, its a temporary solution I suppose.
