internal storage glitch?

Well I searched on the forum and was unable to find this being reported. So here goes... I connected my Diamond (sprint) to my PC via the Disk Drive option. Then I wanted to run Opera and left it connected. It said it could not open the "internal storage" and asked if I wanted to use the normal storage. I said yes and continued to surf the web. Afterwards I disconnected my phone from my PC and noticed my "internal storage only had some Opera files on it. I looked around and noticed I now had an "internal storage2" that contained all my other files. The only way I could fix it was to reconnect to my PC useing the Disk drive option, viewed the dir listing that contained the entry for internal storage and deleting it, making sure to delete the correct one. I rebooted and everything is now fine. Anyone else ever see this?

Re: internal storage glitch?

This used to happen on my HTC xv6700. I do not recall exactly what the fix was but I think I found it on this board.

Re: internal storage glitch?

see it all the time, it pisses me off too.

it happends when you are in "disk mode" on your pc and your phone "writes" things to internal storage, well as you might know when you are in disk mode you can't have access to that drive on your phone so it just creates a new one (internal storage2)

easy fix for this just go into your windows explorer and delete the folder "internal storage" located in "my device", the one without the memory stick on the folder. Then restart the phone and everything should be back to normal

This is usually caused by email storing on your internal storage card, and when in disk mode, it creates that folder.....

Violent was right, just delete the internal storage folder and soft reset.
