Re: What is the easiest/free keyboard to type on
I have a question that related to the VGA resolution of the TouchPro.
When I used my Titan daily, I used the gullum KB setup & absolutely LOVED it. I use Vito SMS-Chat & using the gullum in compact qwerty in portrait mode using T-9 I could literally fly typing a response. When I got the TP, I noticed the stock compact qwerty KB is pretty much the same thing as the gullum KB. It didn't seem as easy to use however & I realized why last night. I opened up sms-chat on both the Titan & the TP right next to each other. Although it is exactly the same KB, the Titan version is noticeably bigger & therefore easier to use. I assume that is because of the QVGA res of the Titan screen. Is there a compact qwerty KB I can install in the TP that will be bigger like the Titan so it's back to what I'm used to???? ~John |

Re: What is the easiest/free keyboard to type on
I haven't tried all these yet, but the SPB Keyboard has a true full screen landscape mode. I haven't seen this mode in any of these other ones. No other mode seems as easy to use yet.
It's not free, but this mode seems unique among these keyboard apps... |

Posts like this & the fact that it's been updated since I tried it convinced me to take another look at it. I installed TP & used it exclusively for two days & I finally get it, There is a bit of a learning curve (much more than any other KB), but now that I am used to all the many options I absolutely LOVE this setup. I doubt I will ever use my TouchPro hardware KB again (I never really liked it anyway) ~John |

Re: What is the easiest/free keyboard to type on
Ok, I bought SPB KB a few weeks ago, it really didn't seem like anything too special but it was a hell of alot easier to type on, later I figured out you can add gestures which made it even quicker, and in the options I found a vibration feedback option snd an option to make a clicking noise at key press, really for all of you keepin this thread going, I suggest you try it.
