Make Opera Mobile Default Browser

For some odd reason IE is my default browser... is there a way to default it back to Opera?

This happened to me as well after installing Skyfire. I have been told that the only way to get it back is to hard reset which sucks and not load Skyfire. so I'll keep ie as the default to have Skyfire but maybe someone else has a solution. Go Steelers.

good point. I guess you can use opera 2649 or 2675 then to overwrite back to opera. if you are on the stock rom, you are out of luck though. thanks.

Re: Make Opera Mobile Default Browser

you can't overwrite opera because its part of the rom.. you'll end up with 2 versions.

i ran into the problem. opening opera didn't fix it. when i open a link in a txt, it goes to pie now.

I had the same problem. It's a simple reg edit fix.
you have to edit these registry keys.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\: DEFBROWSER
"0"=Opera Browser
"1"=\Windows\OperaL.exe

that should do it for you.

Under : DEFBROWSER I have no keys at all. Are you saying I should make new keys? DWORDs, string value? What should I be doing? Thanks in advance for the help!

Re: Make Opera Mobile Default Browser

I followed these steps and then did a soft reset. Wsed CERegEditor to make the edit, but PIE is still the default browser!!

All pages and links open with PIE. This is starting to piss me off tremendously.

Anyone have any ideas??
