Re: DIY Black battery cover

So, now that we can dye our battery cover & stylus, what do we do about the leftover red around the usb connector?

x2. Had the same question. Anyone dye that area?

And how does the stylus dye hold up? It feels like a different material than the battery cover.

Re: DIY Black battery cover

stylus worked just took a lot longer. the cover took about 15 min or so and the stylus i left in for about 45. the material is different and will eventually take the color. Just make sure to let the stylus dry out because liquid gets into the metal tube and will drip out and be wet longer.

Re: DIY Black battery cover

I tried a little experiment with electrical tape. For the most part the tape stayed on during the process and it didn't even leave a sticky residue once it was removed. I ended up dying the original cover with orange dye. Once it dried then I freestyle'd with the electrical tape and dyed it one more time in black. It's not the best, but check it out.
