text/email music notifications

can anyone advise of any programs that would allow you to cut music in order to use them as a text or email alert. this phone only allows cut music to ringtone only. thanks

I use MP3Trimmer from the original GSM Touch Pro. I got it somewhere on XDA-devs. Should work on CDMA TP no problem.

I am able to use the music I used for my ringtones for text/email notifications. I copied then pasted the music I wanted & put them in the windows file rings but when I get a notification the music plays to the end of the recording can't find a way to stop it while I read the email or text.
