Car Charger Issues

Here is a quick question to ask everyone, I had a customer come in complaining his car charger hasn't worked for him, so I tested the charger and sure enough, nothing. I proceeded to try a brand new charger and did this 4 times and none worked! The real kicker is the phone charges completely fine with the home chargers! I tried all of the car chargers on another diamond and they all worked. So why would his phone charge fine on a home charger but not a car charger? The port is fine and the car chargers work with other diamonds? Freaky...

Re: Car Charger Issues

the car charger i used to use for my mogul doesn't seem to work on my diamond, it flashes on/off so i refuse to leave it attached to my phone. not sure if the phone wants to see a certain resistance or something from the car charger, but it looks like the cheapo one isn't gonna cut it anymore.

Re: Car Charger Issues

Did you try this in *his* car or your car?

Maybe his socket is just kaput.

Re: Car Charger Issues

we have a regulated DC power supply tester that we use in the tech center that we test all of our car chargers on. these are all Sprint car chargers that were using, not cheapo ones. this tester has never failed us before and i used the same exact tester with the same exact car chargers on 2 other diamonds now and they have all worked perfectly fine.
