New phone

Just got a new phone Tuesday due to phone shutting off on me. This phone out of the box is so much better then the last phone. Last phone the battery from polling the towers would drain about a bar a second just sitting in my pocket. I downloaded and installed diamond tweaks and did the reg change to poll the towers less. And with those changes the phone did better. With my new phone I have not made any reg changes and have not loaded diamond tweaks and it is as good or better then my old phone with those. The touch screen is very responsive and scrolling through a list is much easier. Given I have only had this phone for 24, forgot my charger at work so I charged the phone full on my computer left it over night off the charger and have not charged it yet noon battery is sitting at 1 bar over half thats 14 hours. With just about 30 mins of talk time, exchange running with emails recived. I do not know if i got a software update on the new phone or what but as of now I am very happy. The heat issue seems a little less, hard for me to say maybe its all in my head. It still gets hot.

I don't know if my first phone was just that bad or they upgraded the phones from a month ago.

any one else get a new phone latly notice any differnces?

I don't know if it means much or if the date represents phone creation but...

take the back off and look near the reset button. There is a date and a REV code.

Mine says
DATE 17/07/08
REV:FA00

again, it might not have anything to do with the actual phone age or lot number but I remember that Blackjack 1s had an issue with internal anntenna. Samsung had a date code that told you if you qualified for the recall.

What date is yours if you don't mind me asking.

no matter how much you like the phone, if you see a creation date of april 20th SEND IT BACK

mine is 17/01/08 FA00 as well

Same here on the two that I have in front of me, but those are from the day after the official release.

Edit: wait, i dont have my spare with me but i vaguely remember the April date on it. i could be wrong.... anyways whats the problem with the units built in april?
