data still working on deactivated phone?

I just replaced my htc mogul with a diamond on sprint, I activated the diamond on Friday, my son was playing around with the old mogul and he was surfing the internet with it, how is that possible on a deactivated phone?.....and yes, the wifi was off

its possible they didn't turn the data off on their end for the mogul's esn.. i wouldn't say anything and just use it for as long as you can.....if you want

i had that "problem" with an old phone, it still got data... i used it for a while instead of killing the battery on my current phone, but one day it stopped working.
