Too many photo albums show up

I like to keep my photos organized in internal storage in folders such as Contacts, Friends, etc. The diamond is nice since it recognizes those folders and shows them in the album view. My problem is that it finds every other folder with with any type of image file and shows that as an album too. Sprite Backup shows up as an album with program icons as photos, and a bunch of other stuff like that. Can I specify what folder and sub folders the diamond checks for photos.
