vibrating notifications + Juicy 2.4 + Voice Command

I'm using Juicy's 2.4 ROM. I have my diamond set to vibrate when i receive a new email. I also have Voice Command announce incoming emails. This morning, I received an email and the phone vibrated as usual, but it would not stop; finally, I had to soft reset the phone to put it out of its misery. This was the 3d time this happened. Also, Voice Command never announced the email.
I double checked my settings and all were in order. Anyone else experience something like this?

Dosent announce incoming emails.....When it said messages, they mean "text messages"

please tell me how you get diamond to announce incomming call? mine only tells me when battery is low. im stock also,in case that matters. thanx
