Re: Diamond 3G ?
I'm going to go easy on you and try to tamp down the flames. The designation 3G is very loosely described as "high speed" when you are talking about GSM phones. In fact, Sprint has considered itself 3G all along because 2G was analog and Sprint was always all digital.
In fact, GSM carriers such as ATT only consider HS*PA phones to be 3G and they will designate that coverage with a 3G symbol.
Sprint doesn't worry about those types of things and breaks out their coverage to 1XRTT which is comparable to EDGE for GSM carriers (low speed) and 1XEVDO (REV A) for high speed. If you see the Ev symbol you are in high speed coverage.
