mine says 1x or Ev at the top icon area. never seen it say 3g. is it supposed to if I was in a good coverage area?

EV is what your looking for . That is sprints high speed REV-A connections. the 1X is usually low speed connection and that will take place in a weak signal area or while your on the phone.. Some carriers use the 3G logo and sprint uses the EV logo

thats what I thought. so if this phone is 3G howcome Ive never seen it say 3G? has anyone with a Sprint Diamond?

Hey all,
I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the 3G icon in only seen on GSM Diamonds. CDMA Diamonds either have 1X or EV icons, depending on the service available.
