Yeah, it is sad that we are on 1X here as well. Hell, even Alltel has EVDO here. Sprint will probably give us EVDO when the rest of the world is using wimax or something.

IS there a way to keep both WiFi and EVDO active and have the device intelligently use the one with a better signal/download speed?

I use the wifi all the time, but usually I'm pushing data to my laptop via wifirouter.

I'm in the ag business and often travel to areas where I am on roam and there is no data service available (aka The Sticks). The wi-fi is a handy back-up if my hotel or a local cafe has wi-fi available.
