Picture mail help

Hi,

I have been through tech support a few times... When I try to send a picture...
I take the picture
Push the envelope and launch send via picture mail
I add the contact phone number and press send.

The phone goes to the sending screen and it will sit there for over a day with out sending it.

My data connection is working fine the whole time this is going on and I have gone on the web to verify my picture mail account is working.

Any ideas? The phone is bone stock.

Thanks,
Chris

You have an serious issue, you already talk to tech support the option there is for you at this point is the go the sprint store and them test it & if it's a problem they can't fix they will swap out the phone!

Are you able to receive picture mail?

Have you verified that the recepient indeed DID NOT receive the message?

If you can receive PM but not send, how do they arrive? As an SMS or into your PM box?

Are you able to get to the Internet consistently (I know you indicate it's fine, but have you checked your Vision profile under ##DATA#)?

Has the tech tried reprovisioning your PM account and/or performed an IOTA with your phone? If not, ask them to do that. As for Advanced Support.

Take a look at this thread:
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=37799

PM problems are not rare, even with out of the box Diamonds. I doubt it is a hardware issue that requires a swap. The store won't be able to do anything. It is matter of configuration on your side or Sprint's side.

Re: Picture mail help

Hi,

I checked my active profile is set to 1

I sent a picture (from my diamond) to my work phone and it said sent, it never arrived.

I sent a pic from my wifes Katana to my work phone and it came in fine

I sent a pic from my wifes katana to my diamond and it came in as a PM.

The picture mail sending for me seems to be the issue.

Any ideas?

The profile is set to 1, but does it contain the proper Vision log-in information?

Try to initiate a connection (via PIE or Opera) and make sure coverage is good, then send.

If it is bone-stock, try doing a ##RTN#, reset. This will wipe the system config and do a hard reset. I've read that this helped some. After that, ask Sprint to reprovision and IOTA. Best of luck.

Re: Picture mail help

and why is it when you send pic mail...it ends up in your inbox folder and not in your sent folder? Sprint has serious issue also with the internal antenna on these things they really suck! The Instinct was the same way. If your outside there fine...but as soon as you get indoors anywhere you would be lucky to get 1-2 bars!

Re: Picture mail help

after you click send are you clicking continue when it says your message is being sent? also do you have movies on your phone? I had a few mp4 movies full length and it was doing that. it was like the phone ran out of ram even though I had plenty left.

Does intercept work with sMMS on your Diamond? Prior to installing/using sMMS, did incoming MMS show up as a link inside an SMS or directly into the Sprint MMS client's inbox?

Thanks.
