Re: SkyFire 7081!
The previous version of Skyfire would not even install on Diamonds, it said "This version of Skyfire is not compatible with this device", however this version allowed the install, and after about an hour of surfing I had no problems. I also warned readers and retracted that statement in POST#18 but I guess you did'nt read it.

It's not a big deal. I was not trying to challenge you. More wondered if I was missing something on the Skyfire page. While it is great that this version is quasi working on the Diamond, it would be better if we knew for sure they were actively working on VGA support. I have seen posts that claim it will be out any day now, and others that say that they are focusing on iPhone and Java support and will not fix VGA in the near future. |

Re: SkyFire 7081!
I haven't run into the half screen issue yet with this new version. I used the previous version on the diamond and ran into the half screen once in a while. I downloaded both of these with IE, not Opera.

I downloaded it on Opera. And then completely removed it and redownloaded it to my PC and then transfered the cab. I even tried the idea on Post 20. and the EXE movement from skyfire to the program files. Did you install into the actual system memory, or the internal storage? |

Re: SkyFire 7081!
why would downloading skyfire with PIE versus Opera versus PC make a difference? aren't they all the same CAB file?
I just followed the link from the text and downloaded it using PIE and it did the same thing. |

Re: SkyFire 7081!
I tried to install this on my 800W and I get an issue where it gets stuck on the installation screen for a long time with that lil circle with four colors spinning forever... left it sitting in the installation screen for over 10 minutes.... my older version of skyfire installed good but this one wont for some reason. Any ideas as to why?
