Silence Text ringer when talking

I hope someone else has this problem too. When i am on the phone and receive a new text message, the text message ringer just goes on and on. Is there any way to silence the ringer without using the end call button or a way to have it do one beep when you are on the phone?

Any help appreciated.

Re: Silence Text ringer when talking

OMG, that is a serious issue with me, too. Its really irritating to be on the phone talkin to someone and the text message notification chimes in and rings your ear drum. Depending on what tone you use for your texts notification, there are some instances where you have to have someone repeat what they said because of that noise coming thru. I would love if someone had a way to silence that thing, too!
