Pocketquake 1 and 2 ( compatibility question )

Hey all, disappeared for awhile there, sorry. Been loving my Diamond and pretty much am using it to surf the net and dowload the entirety of the Sprint music store before I have to put it on my EDRP account and have to pay for them, heh. Still not quite happy with not having a keyboard though so I'll be selling the Diamond and buying a Touch Pro ( was a Mogul user after all =P ). As I tell my customers, it's easier going from not having a keyboard to having one then the other way around.

Back to my title though, I dowloaded Pocketquake 1 and 2 and all I get is a white screen for 1 and a gray screen for 2. The bottom menu shows, but the top half is white and gray respectively. I've tried the white screen VGA fix for Pocketquake 1 to no avail. Were these game just not made for the Diamond or am I doing something wrong?

Oh yeah, and Call of Duty doesn't run either, just the music. Very frustrating, any help or pointing in the right direction is GREATLY appreciated as this would be absolutely awesome to showcase to some of my customers.

I found pocket lemmings ...I had to download the dos version of it too to get the main.dat file in order for it to work.

I have pocket duke 3d and pocket doom, but haven't had a chance to try them yet.

Re: Pocketquake 1 and 2 ( compatibility question )

Really, nothing? I dusted off my Quake series in the basement so I could download and get the necessary files. I'm not asking for anything illegal by the forums rules and I'm sure SOMEONE here has tried either unsuccessfully or hopefully successfully to get it working on the Diamond.

No I will not send anyone the files, so don't bother asking. =P

Which rom are you running? I've had issues with COD2 on anything but the stock Sprint rom.

Hmm... XDA has a few related threads that might help you out.

Here is one for COD2, and this one for Q3Arena.

Re: Pocketquake 1 and 2 ( compatibility question )

I'm on the same boat, I run Juicy's 2.5 ROM and i Just backed everything up and temporarily flashed back to Sprint's ROM to try and get Pocket Quake 1 to run and I'm still getting the white screen. :S

Having a hard time getting this to work. THPS2, COD2 and Q3CE all run fine hardware accelerated with the stock Sprint ROM though. Would like Quake 1 better as it will most probably run a LOT better than Q3CE.
