Thanks for sharing this. I wanted to read more about the registry and what it does. Looking for a DCD, I found someone who has posted very little and doesn't appear to be the right person. Please link the discussion if you know where it is.

Edit: As others reported, the default value is 5000 (decimal). Presuming 4E20 is hex, it translates to 20000 in decimal. It makes some sense presuming that this change somehow increases the polling interval of some battery. In the Juicy ROM, did you change the value from decimal to hex and set it as specified?

Thanks again.

DCD1182 doesn't really post here much anymore. He's a highly skilled rom chef of Titan and Vogue roms over at xda developers. Here's the link to his most recent rom:

When I had my mogul, it was usually running a dcd rom.

After the change is a soft reset needed?

I would imagine. I've always cooked it into the ROM itself.

Re: Battery Fix

I can confirm this fix works. Without it my battery would be down to 35% after 8 hours just sitting idle. No WiFi, no BT, just phone and data on. With the fix, my phone is down to 91% after 8 hours of idle. It might in fact be better than that as the battery went from 100% to 96% immediatly after unplugging it. At any rate, nice find. Thanks Juicy and DCD.

Don't know. I'd look at that registry entry and if it's 5000, change it.

I have the stock Sprint rom and I did this reg edit last night, then soft reset and charged my phone overnight as usual. I don't have any battery % meter installed on my phone, but when you go to the power screen and see the green bar, it seems that so far it is better. I will know more tonight.

On the stock rom, the value was 5000. Using Total Commander, I first changed the value type, then set the value at 4E20.

Re: Battery Fix

Thanks for the tip. So what does this registry change do that results in the better battery life? And just for the sake of curiosity, any idea why sprint didn't incorporate this setting in their rom? Does it have any other side effects other than extended battery life?
