Edit: As others reported, the default value is 5000 (decimal). Presuming 4E20 is hex, it translates to 20000 in decimal. It makes some sense presuming that this change somehow increases the polling interval of some battery. In the Juicy ROM, did you change the value from decimal to hex and set it as specified? Thanks again. |

Re: Battery Fix
I can confirm this fix works. Without it my battery would be down to 35% after 8 hours just sitting idle. No WiFi, no BT, just phone and data on. With the fix, my phone is down to 91% after 8 hours of idle. It might in fact be better than that as the battery went from 100% to 96% immediatly after unplugging it. At any rate, nice find. Thanks Juicy and DCD.

On the stock rom, the value was 5000. Using Total Commander, I first changed the value type, then set the value at 4E20. |
Re: Battery Fix
to confirm, this does work on the stock rom

Re: Battery Fix
Thanks for the tip. So what does this registry change do that results in the better battery life? And just for the sake of curiosity, any idea why sprint didn't incorporate this setting in their rom? Does it have any other side effects other than extended battery life?
