Re: Juggalo_X's Notification Enhancements
Has anyone found a way to set a notification for Picture Mail?
|
Re: Juggalo_X's Notification Enhancements
awesome work. I wonder if theres any way now to make the light flash for less than 5 min. 5 min is the minimum time, but it could save a lil battery life if you get a lot of texts/emails/etc. I wouldnt mind 1/2 min as a minimum time

Re: Juggalo_X's Notification Enhancements (LED Flash Hack)
Great job.... Wondering if you can take a step further and make LED in solid color instead of white circling around which is hard to spot in the day light....
Thanks!! |
Re: Juggalo_X's Notification Enhancements (LED Flash Hack)
also, do we know if the LED ring is just one or a combo of white led's, or are they possible of different colors? i think we would probably have to disassemble it to find out. if it is capable of different colors, then we could start on a proggie that would enable it. im going to assume they are only capable of white light though

I dont have a clue where to start either though lol also, some people hate the service light, (i.e. the mogul led flashing green when in coverage) but i want it, does your program have that option to maybe have the led flash every x amount of seconds as a status indicator? i love that feature, but im wondering what kind of effect on the battery that would have if we could write a script to enable that. |

Re: Juggalo_X's Notification Enhancements (LED Flash Hack)
If its white only, can we have LED stay solid white (like when its fully charged) for notification (missed call, voicemail, etc) instead of circling around?
Thanks!! |

Re: Juggalo_X's Notification Enhancements (LED Flash Hack)
This is a thread I posted a few weeks ago that describes what I discovered, the basis for the OP's entries:
"How to change the LED flash duration, unlock options, & turn off phone startup sound." (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=38074) You can actually remove "Available Options" to accomplish the same. I also think I have found a way to "ungray" the "repeat" setting as well. Stay tuned on that... If you look carefully around the same keys, you will see other notifications that have configs but no "default" value, therefore no description in the control panel. I added a default value to one of the items, and it showed up on the control panel. I'm in the process of trying to figure out what the unamed entries are... /// On the subject of LEDs--voltage simply determines intensity, which can be preceived as a change in color temperature, or the light being "whiter". The LED's operating voltage range is fairly limited. The old LEDs have colored lenses which reflected their colors. The clear LEDs use different chemical make up to produce the desired color. Most "white" LEDs are blue LEDs with a yellow filter. If you look at a clear white LED carefully, you will see a yellowish filter on top of the diode. For an LED to produce light in another wave length/color, there much be multiple elements. Since it is a diode, reversing/changing voltage simply won't do. On the subject of HID (High Intensity Discharge) lights, they are produced by an arc ionizing the gas in the capsule. More voltage may help a bit, but not much. Unlike incandescent bulbs, most arc lights use a transformer that have a primary side and secondary side. You can jack up the voltage on the primary side (12 volt for car, for example), but the output is still based on what the secondary/high voltage side is capable of. |

also, im aware of all the options you have discovered as well. i just havnt not posted them. never felt the need. i also know how to change the options that show up for the ringer as well. but i wont. i can also add Vibrate when ringer is on or off functions to the ringer. there is no reason to ungrey the repeat option as the only thing its ever useful for is reminders. Since you seem like a smart guy hop in my ringer thread and see if you can help me out. im stuck in the final step for getting unique, user changable ringers for Known, Unknown and Roaming callers ;) |
Re: Juggalo_X's Notification Enhancements (LED Flash Hack)
im going to work on adding windows live messenger notifications to the GUI so they sounds can be changed as well guys ;)

Re: Juggalo_X's Notification Enhancements (LED Flash Hack)
What about adding a ringer for new picture mail, or is that already done?
