Thanks Juggalo...you da man of da day!:headbang:

Installed it twice now and still dont see a advance tab under sound and notifications.. Will this not work on the DHarvey's Sprint rom?

Great job.... Wondering if you can take a step further and make LED in solid color instead of white circling around which is hard to spot in the day light....

Thanks!!

also, do we know if the LED ring is just one or a combo of white led's, or are they possible of different colors? i think we would probably have to disassemble it to find out. if it is capable of different colors, then we could start on a proggie that would enable it. im going to assume they are only capable of white light though

LED's color is determined by the voltage that passes through them in some cases. u could probably get them to flash something different but i wouldn't know where to begin. it would be driver related like the BB Pearl's update is to change the Pearls flashing color from white to colored.

screen shot added to first post to show an example of what this hack does.

right thats where i was going with it. but the they put the led's in the two different versions of the pearl, and they were different. cuz u know sprint/verizon/alltel pearls only have white. someone on crackberry.com said that the actual leds themselves determine if they can produce different colors, on the other hand, your rationale makes just as much sense. more voltage=whiter light, kinda like HID headlamps, the higher the voltage and temperature the whiter the light.

I dont have a clue where to start either though lol

also, some people hate the service light, (i.e. the mogul led flashing green when in coverage) but i want it, does your program have that option to maybe have the led flash every x amount of seconds as a status indicator? i love that feature, but im wondering what kind of effect on the battery that would have if we could write a script to enable that.

it is true. some led's have a multi filament in them. if we are lucky these ones do as well then its a matter of voltage to determine color. otherwise your correct more powaz = whiter light. thats it.
