Go to Settings Tab, Click on Sound (ringtones,etc..) , then Advanced< then Notifications.... You can use the pull down to change the settings for text messages, email, etc...with vibrate and how long led pulsates...

bah i think tis cool and the girlfriend thinks its a cute.... but i agree random colors would be cool as hell.... u know id do something about it if i could :)

true, but what is the life of the LED. Might be a pain to replace if burnt out :)

LED's have a life expectancy of 150k+ hours the device will die before they do. i my self have never seen an led burn out.
