Typing on Diamond coming from Touch - Page 3

i think the sip experience on the diamond is approximately a billion times better than on my old vogue, especially in landscape mode. i was using fullscreen keyboard on the vogue.
i'm rocking juicy's rom on my diamond, which has manual rotate screen mapped to the long press send key, so if i'm composing, i just rotate it manually and zip through whatever i need to type dual thumb style. there's no lag when you're typing with juicy's roms either, so that may help some folks as well.

So is there a program to use to make a full qwerty keyboard on the diamond. I currently have a Mogul and love having a keyboard, but sprint is offering my $24.99(yes $24.99, 249.99 - $150 - $75 for complaining= 24.99) for the Diamond and I am also concerned about no keyboard.

The Diamond has a full QWERTY keyboard that comes stock...

even with the full diamond keyboard, RESCO KEYBOARD 5.11 is the best hand down. here is my little tip. bet the resco keyboard and leave it with its default skin (iphone skin), adjust the sensivility of the screen in the registry to around 400 or more and you'll be in heaven. i have an iphone and i could type just has good with this keyboard.

yup. i switch to landscape all the time when texting or emailing and it helps me type faster and more accurately.

I used to use SPB Fullscreen keyboard but I don't really like how you have to load it on the Diamond. On my touch, you could set a hardware key for it, but with the diamond, it would pop up that little box which was impossible to hit...I wish it worked better on the Diamond because I could definitely use it.

You can set it to an on button press event, but unfortunately there is only one button option in the "Settings > Buttons" area which is the long send key function. But its still better than trying to hit that small little keyboard box. I am really liking SPB FSK for what its worth. I came from a Q9c, and while I def miss the real keyboard, I'm slowly adapting to the on screen one.
