PPC-6700 to Diamond

Can I still use the USB port/charger from the 6700 to charge the Diamond?

The diamond uses a mini usb connector, and as long as the cable fits, you can use any USB cable to charge it.

im using a usb from a nextel phone for my diamond, as long as mini usb your good

However, the charging craddle will not work. Doesnt fit the Diamond.
