How to convert xvid movies to Windows Mobile (watch movies on Diamond)

Is there a free program out there that can take a big xvid or divx movie and convert it smaller to play smoothly in WMP on the Diamond?

I have played a divix movie on my Touch with TCPMP player. It also works on the Diamond

After install select options-settings-select page-file association. Find the files you want to be able to view/hear and check the approiate box

Or you could just download and install the free Divx player windows mobile client. Works good for me and I watch a lot of movies on my Diamond.

You could also use xilisoft's converter to convert it to 3GPP format. It loses a lot in the translation, but the filesize IS smaller.

Here's the best PC desktop video converter I know of... and it's FREE:

http://www.any-video-converter.com/p...or_video_free/

I use it to convert movies to avi and play on my Touch using TCPMP.

Re: How to convert xvid movies to Windows Mobile (watch movies on Diamond)

I have found xvid4psp to work well. Just convert it to a WP4 with using touch as the output option. Without hardware acceleration (no coreplayer) the best you can do to have smooth video is 320x240. http://www.winnydows.com/

you can use mp4 converter, convert the movies to mp4, then enjoy them.

Re: How to convert xvid movies to Windows Mobile (watch movies on Diamond)

You can try with Appgeeker video converter to convert xvid files to watch them on Diamond.

http://www.ilikemall.com/how-to/conv...o-mp4-mac.html

It doesn't require any codecs to be installed on your machine.
