Exactly. Wouldn't want the device to make un-timely phone calls without your knowledge. And as slim as the battery life--why should the screen turn on unecessarily?

It is not a WM bug. I have other WM devices that don't do this. I've only seen this on HTC devices. It seems like when the device goes from 1xRTT to EVDO and/or goes from poor coverage to cell-site acqusition, the screen lights up. PITA.

Have you tried S2U2? It's the only way I can get thru the day without mistaken calls.

Yeah, but are those other devices WM6.1? I never had this issue until I installed 6.1.

The Touch, with WM6.0, did this. I have a 700WX, with 6.1, does not do this.

i have a 700wx and i can confirm it does do this. it always had. and my HTC wing did it before that. and my S640 did it as well. and now the diamond too.

telus 700wx here with VZW radio rom and Custom WM6.0 rom and it does it ive just gotten used to it. even my old LG fast tap flip phone used to wake up randomly.
