Re: Diamond Turning On For No Reason

My HTC Diamond also does this. I have tried to replicate the problem. I have narrowed it down to either the light sensor or the g-sensor though I can't get the combination right. I have "Auto Adjust Backlight" unchecked but when I remove my phone from the case it wakes automatically. If I rotate the phone in my hand, it wakes.... This is driving my INSANE because when I try to replicate it, guess what....IT NEVER DOES IT TWICE IN A ROW. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

DK

PS... it will also happen if I shake the phone. give it a try and see if yours does it....

UPDATE.....
Removing G-sens does not help.

Re: Diamond Turning On For No Reason

My 700wx did this, but I had a lock enabled on that phone so even if it came on the screen would be locked until I pressed a certain button.

Re: Diamond Turning On For No Reason

Maybe it's not hardware or software related. Maybe it's....

GHOSTS!!

THAT FOLLOW US AROUND!!

AND F WITH OUR PRECIOUS HTC DEVICES!!

I'm thinking either we call the kids on Paranormal State for an investigation, or perhaps contact M. Night Shyamalan to make a movie about it. Maybe Bruce Willis could play Peter Chou.

*I see dead people. They're everywhere. And they keep waking up people's phones.*

Re: Diamond Turning On For No Reason

I noticed my phone was on in my pocket right after I got home last night. I had just come within range of my Airave.... so that might (or might not) have something to do with it.

Re: Diamond Turning On For No Reason

I can't believe this phone won't stay off. I lock it by holding long end key, then sleep it by hitting power button, but it constantly wakes up and is unlocked in my pocket. It's pathetic! I tried setting it to sprint only, that didn't help. I tried turning off automatic time sync, that doesn't help. What keeps waking up and unlocking this phone? Do you think it's related to the stylus? I notice when you take the stylus out, not only does it wake it up, it unlocks it. Is there any way to at least require you to unlock it (and I'm not talking about a pin, that is way too much of a pain in the ***).

HELP!!!! thIS REALLY SEEMS LIKE A FATAL FLAW!!!! Does everyone have this problem?

I would try s2u2, but it sounds like that has issues on this phone.

HELP!!!!

Re: Diamond Turning On For No Reason

Every Sprint HTC in the last 5 years has done that. It's no biggy. But I have noticed that the Diamond does it much less than prior phones.

I agree. My Touch was possessed or something. My Diamond rarely does it in comparison.
