sorry boss, not to be a dikkhead, but i didnt mean to say thanks to you, it was a mistake trying to hit the quote button.

but anyways, heres the question..IS IT ACTUALLY AN ISSUE??? I mean seriously, if the phone was actually burning my skin, then yes its an issue. But if it gets warm/hot, and isnt actually causing an operating issue or safety hazard, is it actually an "issue". We all know that electronics get hot with use, and then, when u put a bunch of processors, and memory modules, charging ports, all that stuff into a small area, heat is going to happen!! I have ran wmwifirouter til the phone got real hot(2 hours straight), and it NEVER overheated or slowed down because of the heat. Yes it got hot, but in the end, I never got burned, the phone is fine, whats the issue?

Maybe its just me, when the touch/moguls were the hot topic. We all wanted, "higher res, more memory, faster processors, better cameras", and so and so forth. Now we have it, and its still not good enough.

True enough HTC has said that the lack of a heat shield is causing us to experience this heat "issue". But a heat shield is not stopping the heat from occuring, its simply deflecting it. So like it or not, behind that heat shield, guess what is gonna happen? HEAT!!! It comes with the territory. electronics=heat. Gonna expect a gasoline engine not to get hot? It comes with the teritory

Re: Anyone's Spring Diamond Doesn't Overheat?

well I called HTC because both of my diamonds overhest and freexe. I was told to call Sprint so i did. Sprint told me that if it becomes a "known" issue then can replace my Diamond with the Touch Pro free of charge.

Re: Anyone's Spring Diamond Doesn't Overheat?

I replaced my (Sprint) Diamond (within first 30 days) for a Diamond Pro, however, it gets just as hot when I run the internet radio or Sprint TV for several minutes.

What?
You shouldn't have to fix the battery with tweaks right?

If theres a fix for it why not get it?
If your worried about voiding warranty you can easily flash to the stock radio ROM or OS ROM and then relock it.

Re: Anyone's Spring Diamond Doesn't Overheat?

key points here guys. I REALLY LIKE THE DIAMOND BUT I WANT THE PRO. The more people call the faster Sprint pudhes HTC to release a new ROM or the faster we can get the Touch Pro if we wanted to

Re: Anyone's Spring Diamond Doesn't Overheat?

No, the real key point here is you want us to call Sprint about problems that we have figured out how to fix ourselves or are willing to accept as the way it is, just so that you can get a free Pro.

Sorry, my Diamond is great and I don't want the Pro...

The point was for people who do not want to keep finding different fixes...

Shouldn't really have a Windows Mobile phone as it requires tons of fixes/tweaks/customizations. The fact is, you want all of us to complain that this is an issue (even though we just do the fix) just so you can get your hands on a Touch Pro cause you got the Diamond instead of waiting for the Touch Pro. (lousy KB on it too.)
