you cannot delete rom files as they are locked. they also do take up storage space, contrary to another users post/belief.

to remove rom files you must remove them from a rom base then compile the rom and flash it. in short, you need to use a custom rom to remove any junk in the rom you dont want.

I replaced:
WM6_PPC_HTC_Opera9_WWE.cab
PictureMail_0.1.14.4.cab
sprint-navigation-htc-diamond-2.1.7.cab
SprintTV-1_6_Diamond_1034_072908a.cab

They take up about 12MB but when I checked they freed up nothing. If I go to Total Commander it shows that they are 0 bytes now, but I guess they are still really there.

I stopped the customization in one of my previous diamonds and it freed up lots of storage. I then used cabs I found in this forum to install opera to internal storage as well as other programs. This eliminated much bloat but I wondered if I lost some fixes that I read about to GPS and other things sprint does in their customizations. I don't miss Sprint nav as I've never used it. I've never done a custom rom as I hate voiding warranties and these phones seem so flaky I know I will be returning it again. Feeling kind of in limbo about this phone and wondering if Blackberry storm will ever be released for sprint and if it will be better than all these HTC problem phones.
