For anyone with Skype installation issues, the magic combo is this:

Download PocketPC version, NOT Smartphone version
Download using PC/activesync connection, from the phone itself
Install to Device, not to Internal Storage

I used it the other day and it did default my loudspeaker. However, an Alltell user reported on here that his connection did not default to loudspeaker. Any ideas about why that would be and how I can prevent loudspeaker default?

No idea - my quick googling indicated posts from several years ago that it was an issue "soon to be fixed" (defaulting to speaker). Skype runs fine but it's absolutely useless since the mic picks up an echo from the loudspeaker, annoying the party at the other end of call.

If only the US market didn't suck and CDMA Diamonds kept their videoconferencing camera
