Re: Diamond Storage

I'm not 100% sure of this...maybe 95%, but when you hard reset the Diamond, the 4GB of storage is NOT affected.

Re: Diamond Storage

I was thinking the same thing...I don't have my hands on one yet...deciding between the Diamond and the Pro...I would say that if the 4 gig internal is seen as one storage device, and it's not "partitioned", it will probably go when you hard reset. That's a shame, as I am sure it's not hard to add in a MicroSD port. It almost seems like they added the expansion in the original Touch as a last minute thing, based on the location (on the side, behind a little silver trip strip!

Re: Diamond Storage

If you do a hard reset it will not clear the Internal Storage.

I'm pretty sure the 4GB internal storage is a completely separate media from the system's ROM, therefore it's not affected.

That is REALLY good to know. This question is one of the determining factors in my pick of the 2 phones. Now, do I have the patience to wait for the Pro!?!

Re: Diamond Storage

NOT true guys. You can clear the internal memory. Go to settings>all settings> system tab> clear storage> and you have 3 options. 1. Clear storage only. 2. Format internal storage only. 3. Clear storage and format internal storage.
