Re: Contacts picture resolution?
assuming your are adding the pictures through outlook, if so try adding them manually on your phone, (first transfer pics to phone and then in photo viewer choose 'save to contacts' you can delete the pics from album after-wards it wont change in contacts once saved) also any resolution will be clear...

Re: Contacts picture resolution?
Well I tried both 320x240 @ 96dpi, and adding them while in the phone, and they still are not clear (at all) when they scroll through them on TF3D nor when they call... I can open the picture up outside in Picture Viewer, and it's crystal clear...
Anyone else have an idea?

Re: Contacts picture resolution?
Add contacts to the favourites tab and press the Menu softkey, select "Change Picture" and pick the contact picture you want for that contact. For me, the picture looks hi-res like it should. Even when flashing a new ROM and resyncing with Outlook restores the higher detail pictures.
I know if you have a lot of contacts, it would be annoying to continually put in new contacts to the Favourites to change their pictures, but this was the only way I found to have clear contact pictures. Hope this helps. Last edited by gamer007; 10-05-2008 at 05:55 PM. |

Re: Contacts picture resolution?
Yeah, I have over 300 contacts and about 75% have pictures. I always do the pics on the phone for each contact, as they are clearer and higher resolution. Fortunately I have an Exchange server that I sync with, so I only ever have to do each contact once.
But if you want to backup your contacts so that you never have to go through this again, use pimbackup. It works well and is free
