Light Sensor on Sprint

I can't make the light sensor to turn my screen off during call.
I tried using JUICY 2 ROM and Sprint stock; none of them correct the problem.
Any ideas?
Is there a way to check sensor activity? I checked on the registry and everything looks like it’s should work.
Thanks,

Im not sure how you can change it, but Schaps Advanced config has an option for light sensor. i have not tried messing with its settings, but give it a try and see what happens.

Re: Light Sensor on Sprint

I've played with the registry entries as well, the backlight dimming works, but we can't seem to get it to turn off once it's placed to your ear.

Re: Light Sensor on Sprint

Is it even listed anywhere that that's an actual feature?

Just hit the button on the top

Yeah, and there's registry settings to support it. It works on the GSM ROMs from what I hear, but we haven't figured it out yet.

I think you just invented the new click to lock, or didn't you ?

I need the light sensor because I tend to forget to click on the power and find 10 diffrent app open after a phone call.

Re: Light Sensor on Sprint

I have a theory...
Besides the light sensor being covered by your ear during a call to shut off the backlight, what if the intent was to be iPhone-like...to prevent your face from accidentally touching a button on the screen, maybe cheaper than the proximity sensor? Of course, I tried covering it, but was still able to end a call!

Any thoughts? Could this be enabled?
