Re: Heating up?

Mine is warm when charging so far. Normal usage the temperature seems fine. However, when i ran Skyfire on my Mogul, i thought it was going to melt in my hand. Not only did that waste the battery, but it turned the phone into a hand warmer.

Re: Heating up?

I had the Skyfire homepage on and put my Diamond on my bed for 15 mins. When I picked it up, the bottom half was as warm as a microwaved burrito....

Also heats up on Youtube streams.

I wonder if this issue shows up on the Touch Pro

Re: Heating up?

heat + eletronics= bad
Is this the location of the RAM that you all keep reffering to?
or some other chip?
If so, I would count on chip burn outs. Especially if it's getting as hot as you say.
Any have number readings on the temps?
Anything over the 120 Farenheit mark is "generally" bad for chips.

If it's not a chip and it's just some connections overheating, this could be a whole different issue.
What types of batt. life are you guys getting?

Re: Heating up?

This makes me concerned as the GPS on my mogul heats the thing way up, in fact, I think it's lost some functionality, I've had to travel a lot, and use the GPS for up to 3 hours nonstop helping our driver. I would at times have to open the battery cover and hold the phone by the window to get the wind to cool it off (thank God it worked), but I think they need to find a new way to make the GPS units so they dont build so much heat, really could be very hazardous.
