The backing seems to get as much discussion as any other part of the phone. Heck yeah it's worth making a poll. If you don't, I will. The choices are:

1) Original Diamond faceted back
2) Smooth black back (Telus)
3) Smooth burgundy back (Sprint)

Personally, I don't think it will be long before someone comes up with an aftermarket "fix" (including the USB and stylus).

Supposedly the camera works better without the plastic lens cover on the backing...just leave the lens bare.

I've read that one reason is the the original back doesn't sit level on a table, and that the ridges/edges wear quickly.

I took the plastic lens of mine, the pics are a bit clearer
