That would be cool if you would have noticed that was the GSM version with the 2nd camera. We need the CDMA version which is not the one on the website. ]

What i did is, I went to Best Buy and noticed the Instinct was the same width as the diamond screen just longer. Also the ear whole matched up. I bought the one for the instinct and traced my OEM screen protector and cut it out. Perfect fit for my screen and it looks awesome. Great feel to it as well.

The screen is made from glass right? You'd have to have steel or titanium in your pocket to scratch that up I'd imagine.

Just speaking from experience as I have a Zune 80 with a glass screen for nearly a year now and it hasn't been scratched yet.

Yes, the screen has a hardened glass layer, but the touch-sensitive surface (top) layer is definitely not glass.

Resistive touch screens rely on the user to deform one of two conductive/resistive layers into the other one to register an input. This is a physical deformation. That means that the surface layer has to be flexible, which means that it almost certainly is not hardened glass.

Don't get me wrong. As with anything, glass is definitely flexible. But it's not flexible enough at this scale (unless, of course, the glass is made super thin).

I'd be willing to bet that the surface layer is just some sort of "hardened," "scratch-resistant" plastic layer.

Cool, good to know. How do screen protectors affect the sensitivty of the screen however?

Not enough to warrant not using the screen protector and there are registry hacks available to make the screen more reactive anyway.

I applied a zagg protector to my screen only on Monday night. It looked decent no real bubbles i could see and let it sit powered off over night. The next morning there were clusters of tiny bubbles around the screen. It said it would take 24-48 hours to cure so I wasn't worried but 3 days later I think they are worse then they were the first morning. It all feels smoooth and with the screen on its kinda hard to see them. Is this normal for a zagg product. Or did I mess up the installtion?

Did you use the spray and squeegee? Where the bubbles around any sides where more air could get in?

i used baby shampoo/water and credit card to smooth it out. They are not at the very edge of the screen, but some are around the outside.

I purchased the 3 pack of Clear Touch Crystal screen Protectors by BOXWAVE. Pros:1) Ease of application. Comes with a mini micro fiber cloth and tiny applicator card. Goes on dry. No liquid needed. 2) Perfect fit. 3) No loss of screen sensitivity. At least none that I can perceive. 4) Very clear transparency. 5) Very good customer service although correspondence is done via email. They did email me a phone number after I notified them of my issue but I seem to always get an automated system. Emailing is fine though as I have a record of all my correspondence. Con: 1) Two of the 3 screens protectors have exhibited scratches after only a day of use each. View are very light scratches but you can see them when the backlight is off. you can also feel them with the stylus. I don't keep anything in my pocket that can scratch the protector. I appears that the stylus is causing the scratches as most are on the right side of the protector where I often drag the stylus. I have notified BOXWAVE and they have been very receptive to my issue . They informed me that the protectors should not scratch and that there appears to be a defect with the protectors I have. I opted for the advance replacement and they are mailing me another package of 3. They are charging my credit card and will credit my card back when they receive the defective protectors. I chose this option because I didn't want to wait for them to receive the return before they shipped the replacements. BOXWAVE assured me that this is an isolated issue. Maybe I just had a defective 3 pack. Only time will tell. Other than the scratch issues, this is a very nice product. But the scratch resistance of screen protectors are a very important issue as I don't want to keep getting replacements. I will keep everyone posted.
