Re: Scratch Protection

For screen protectors, there is only one way to apply...

Turn on your shower, just hot. Close the door, do not use any exhaust.
Once it is all steamy, go in, clean the phone with a microfiber cloth.
Make sure there are no spots, specs or "crumbs" on the screen. Apply the
protector carefully. The steam will cause larger particulates to drop out of
the air to prevent the dust. I used the stock screen protector and there
are no bubbles at all. If you do have bubbles, but there is no dust in them...
just give it time and they will go away.

Re: Scratch Protection

Update: I received the new batch of detectors and I got fingerprints on the tacky side of 2 of them. I will put on the 3rd protector. Boxwave said I could rinse off the 2 other protectors in water with hand soap and then swing in the air to dry off and try to do this in a dust free environment. I guess I will fly to NASA to do this in a dust free environment. I don' thave my hopes up that this will work but I will try it.

At least none that I can perceive. 4) Very clear transparency. 5) Very good customer service although correspondence is done via email. They did email me a phone number after I notified them of my issue but I seem to always get an automated system. Emailing is fine though as I have a record of all my correspondence. Con: 1) Two of the 3 screens protectors have exhibited scratches after only a day of use each. View are very light scratches but you can see them when the backlight is off. you can also feel them with the stylus. I don't keep anything in my pocket that can scratch the protector. I appears that the stylus is causing the scratches as most are on the right side of the protector where I often drag the stylus. I have notified BOXWAVE and they have been very receptive to my issue . They informed me that the protectors should not scratch and that there appears to be a defect with the protectors I have. I opted for the advance replacement and they are mailing me another package of 3. They are charging my credit card and will credit my card back when they receive the defective protectors. I chose this option because I didn't want to wait for them to receive the return before they shipped the replacements. BOXWAVE assured me that this is an isolated issue. Maybe I just had a defective 3 pack. Only time will tell. Other than the scratch issues, this is a very nice product. But the scratch resistance of screen protectors are a very important issue as I don't want to keep getting replacements. I will keep everyone posted.
2 Month Follow up:well, it has been almost 2 months and here is the bottomline on the BOXWAVE screen protectorsO NOT PURCHASE THEM!1) they scratch very easily . they scratch where you mostly use the stylus. In my ccase, tiny scratch on the right side where I drag my stylus. the rest of the protector is fine. The scratches occur within a day or so. You can del them when you drag your stylus. 2) I have almost 2 months experience so I don't post this warning lightly. 3) For $35 for 3 protectors, the scratches should not occur after such a short period of time. 4) Customer service was great but after the scratch issue recurring on the second batch of protectors, they respond to your emails a couple of times and them you don't here from them. 5) when the problem first appeared, BOXWAVE said that I must have a defective batch and they mailed me another set. now with the recommend issue, they say they are scratch resistant NOT scratchproof. I explained that this occurred after only a day or so. they agreed that should not happen. They requested I email them pics of the stylus and of the scratches on the protector. I emailed pics of the stylus but I asked if I can mail the protector back so they can view the scratches because the pics may not show them clearly. That was a week ago and I am awaiting am answer! They also said that the anti glare protectors they sell are a little more scratch resistant than the crystal clear ones I have. Well I don't want the anti glare ones and I would not really want to purchase anything else from this company again anyway as I do not trust the quality of their products and they lack customer service after they see that you are ha hog am ongoing issue which they are probably aware exists with other customers having similar issues. BOXWAVE did say that since I am on my second batch of protectors and having the same issues that it is unlikely I have another defective batch.Well I take that to mean that they are blaming me for their product failure or that they are producing am INFERIOR PRODUCT. I would think they are blaming me. Anyway, order at your own risk. Btw, the scratches are deep enough so that you can feel them when you drag your stylus. I will be looking into other manufacturers.Any suggestions are welcomed. I probably won't even waste my time trying got a refund as they would probably only offer to send some more inferior protectors.

boxwave didn't last 2 months for me. the bottom left corner started to curl upwards slightly after a month. very slightly. but it got a lil more pronounced and then finally enough so it caught on phone pouch taking it in and out and now it's not usable. for what it's worth, i didn't quite the same scratching issue as Biker1 above but i did get antiglare...
